This Pan-Roasted Salmon offers a perfect balance of textures and flavors, with a crispy, seared exterior and tender, juicy interior. The rich, smoky Hawaiian Volcano Guava Smoked Sea Salt imparts a depth of flavor that pairs beautifully with the bright acidity of lemon juice. Quick to prepare and full of fresh, bold tastes, this salmon dish is an excellent choice for a healthy, elegant meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon Hawaiian Volcano Guava Smoked Sea Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 1/2 lbs salmon (preferably wild Alaskan), skin and bones removed, cut into 4 portions
  • 3 tablespoons grapeseed oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Season the Salmon: Generously season the salmon fillets with Hawaiian Volcano Guava Smoked Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Sear the Salmon: Heat grapeseed oil in a large sauté pan over high heat until shimmering. Place the salmon fillets seasoned-side down and sear for 2-3 minutes until a golden crust forms.
  4. Add Lemon Juice and Finish in the Oven: Add fresh lemon juice to the pan, turn the fillets over, and transfer the pan to the preheated oven. Roast for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is crispy on the outside and still moist and tender inside.
  5. Serve: Serve the salmon seasoned-side up, with any pan juices spooned over the top.
